ART 9 is a new art project from Rova 9, the social enterprise community initiative in the Neve Barbur neighborhood in the south-eastern quarter of the City of Tel Aviv.
“ART 9” is an art complex extending over the third floor of the former Bezeq telephone exchange, which is located at the corner of Moshe Dayan and HaHaganah Streets. The complex, which is about 400 square meters in area, is divided into eight large work spaces and brings together artists from various disciplines: painting, photography, sculpture and installation, design, illustration and more.
At the heart of the complex there is a large space used for exhibitions and receptions, community projects and talks by artists participating in ART 9, and guest artists. This space is also home to a host of events open to the general public.
In addition to the spacious studio spaces, there is a communal leisure environment comprising a seating area and a kitchen. This social hub serves as a frame for community building, meeting and discussion.
